After taking a solo trip around the world, running six marathons, and recovering from a car accident, Kari learned that focusing on resiliency and not results made her goals a reality.

Being resilient wasn’t about bouncing back but about being aware of how her mindset, emotions, and beliefs were running the show. It was understanding that when a new situation arose, the brain made snap judgments about the present by focusing 90% on what has happened in the past rather than focusing on the present and checking the facts.

Kari’s broad professional experience includes working in software business development in the Nordic market, being a part of a European-based sales team, and working in Corporate America. Through this work, Kari had the valuable opportunity to work with people from different countries and all walks of life. These experiences helped her transition to starting and running her own business, helping individuals and groups work more effectively in teams.

Kari’s perseverance to overcome her personal struggles with depression and implement various resilience tools for all areas of life led her to become a Certified Applied Positive Psychology Practitioner. During this time of discovery, Kari also pivoted her award-winning podcast, The Running Lifestyle Show, to The Flourishing Experiment. This platform has generated hundreds of valuable conversations and allowed Kari to interview and learn from Positive Psychology experts, medical professionals, and best-selling authors. The two podcasts combined have over 886,000 downloads.

Today, Kari’s passion lies in sharing her knowledge and teaching others to manage their mindset, enhance their energy and create high-quality, positive connections. Kari is a woman on a mission to teach others how to create a better way of life for themselves.

Kari lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband, Robert, and teenage son, William.
