263: How to Make Special Events Special

Did you know that you can increase your wellbeing down the road just by creating a wonderful event? And when I say “wonderful event,” I’m not talking Martha Stewart-level logistics!  Listen in to learn what really matters when planning an event, how to make it happen, and the potential health benefits you’ll reap.

I’ll discuss:

·         Why you’re getting together and what is the feeling/goal you’re hoping to achieve

·         The myths behind a great event (hint: more is NOT merrier)

·         Why it’s your party and you can cry if you want to!

·         How to enhance connection at a get-together

·         Why you should give a tangible gift at an event (there’s science behind this!)

·         How to keep that loving feeling going and enhance positivity, potentially leading to   fewer health center visits (there was a study done on this!)
