304: Making Time for Play

This week I’m joined by Jeff Harry, an international speaker, coach, and positive psychology practitioner who advocates for the benefits of play. Jeff believes that by simply unleashing our inner child we can find our purpose and, in turn, help to create a better world.

Jeff has spoken at INBOUND, SXSW, and Australia’s Pausefest, showing audiences how major issues in the workplace can be solved using play. He’s worked with organizations including the NFL, Facebook and Google, just to name a few.

During our conversation, we talked about the importance of incorporating play into our daily lives, especially now.

We discussed:

  • How we met, plus the funny and empowering things that happened that day

  • What is play?

  • How the movie “Big” impacted his career

  • What prompted his quarter life crisis

  • How to talk back to your inner critic

  • How to handle internal and external bullies

  • Fun things you can still do in the time of COVID-19
