315: Harnessing Your Drive with Dopamine

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter and hormone that helps you move, get things done, and get motivated — basically, it’s the perfect hormone to harness ahead of the new year! On this episode you’ll hear the low-down on dopamine, including how to game your brain so you can get more of it and use it to do the things that really matter to you.

We’ll cover:

  • What dopamine is

  • The benefits of dopamine and what it does (influences movement, memory, focus, follow-through and much more)

  • How we might feel when we’re not making enough dopamine — and culprits that can decrease our levels of this important hormone

  • How to increase dopamine levels through getting some sun, breaking a sweat, listening to music and so much more!
