151: Focus on Where You Want to Go, with Tom Bilyeu (2 of 2)

Did you hear Part 1 of my interview with Tom Bilyeu? If not, you’ll want to run back and listen to it. You’ll hear an amazing introduction from some of Tom’s fans (he has by FAR one of the best podcasts/Youtube channels), how having a growth mindset has helped him achieve things such as being CEO of the second-fastest growing, privately held company in the United States in 2014), and why he works out even though he hates it. Oh, and if you think he’s a runner, you’re wrong. He hates running in fact; although I wonder if he had got the runner's high if he would feel differently.

Part 2 of our two-part conversation really dives deep into what his favorite books are, who inspires him, who the five closest people are in his life, and why it’s so crucial not to place your heroes on a pedestal.

If you can relate to running being that dreadful thing that you had to do for the Presidential Award as a kid, then you’re going to like our Runner of the Week, Angela Sherman. She really didn’t like running, but then she looked at it in a different way, tried running differently, and now she is getting ready to run her first half marathon, the Hershey Half Marathon in Hershey, PA.

HERE is the link to my FAVORITE podcast episode ever which is when Tom Bilyeu interviewed Lisa Nichols on Inside Quest.

You know how Serena Marie, RD, gets kind of feisty sometimes? Well, let’s just say that I “poked the bear” to try to get her “going,” and she didn’t really get going. She did, however, share what her recommendations are when deciding to have chocolate milk and why it’s not the be–all and end–all of what to have after a race.

Next week, I talk with Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, author of September’s Book of the Month, From Fatigued to Fantastic. adrenal fatigue is on a lot of endurance athletes’ minds, and Dr. Teitelbaum shares what to do if you suspect you or a friend may have it.

Are you looking to get a better understanding of how you’re spending your time and how that may differ from your intentions? We have a special challenge coming up that could help you do less better. Click HERE and I’ll get you on the invitation list!
