246: Creating Your Self-Care Vision Board

You’ve probably heard of a vision board before, but how about a self-care vision board? It is a vision board that specifically focuses on how you can take care of yourself socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically.

Creating a self- care vision board is an invitation to get clear what truly fuels you.

On today’s short-run episode, I share the following:

  • How a vision board “primes” you

  • Why create a self-care vision board that targets mental, emotional, and physical health

  • The research that supports self-care vision boards and how it has been associated with lower levels of anxiety and depression

  • What to be mindful of while creating a self-care vision board

The Runner of the Week is Steve Sisson. Steve was mentioned on last week’s episode with Jeff Webb.

Steve and I discuss:

  • His VERY early start to running (wait until you hear this!)

  • Some of his favorite running memories (hint - they include the world championships)

  • The power of mindset

  • Mental health and running

Are you ready to create your own self-care vision board?

Please tweet your biggest takeaways at @KariGormley! Or even better yet, show me your self-care vision board.
