302: The Long-Lasting Impact of Marathon Running

Five years ago, five listeners of what was formerly called The Running Lifestyle Show ran the Chicago or NYC marathons with Serena Marie, RD and me. On today’s show, you’ll hear four of the five team members on why they ran the marathons. It was wonderful to catch up, see where running has taken them, hear about the impact a marathon had on their lives and more.

This is the final episode of a four-part series celebrating 300 episodes of the podcast. Episode 299 was a celebration with Serena Marie, RD about how the podcast was created, how it’s evolved, and where it is today. Many unexpected revelations were shared and it’s a roller coaster of an episode!

On episode 300, Kate Weymouth, MD, who had just been on 298 with a PSA on what to do during the upcoming colder months, returned to interview me about my journey with the podcast.

Last week, Episode 301, brought back some listeners-turned-clients-turned-friends to share how the podcast was a catalyst for starting their own podcasts, creating gratitude practices, developing internal and external leadership skills, starting a photography business and more. We even got an exciting update from the You Matter Marathon (no running required!). Heads up: the marathon returns in November and it’s time to get registered for free!
