339: The Flourishing Experiment’s Summer Reading Series, Pt. 3

Woo hoo! We are on the third week of seven for the summer reading season. The first two books were dedicated to vitality, now we’re on to creativity. The three central themes of the podcast are vitality, creativity, and relationships.

At the end of the episode, I share a behind-the-scenes look at the interviews and some of the things I wish I had never done or said to a guest! It’s embarrassing but I’m thinking you’ve had some embarrassing moments yourself!

Highlights of this episode include:

  • How to get into the flow or ecstasies

  • What happens in a flow state

  • What to keep in mind after being in a flow state

  • The Good Girl Rules (even if you’re a man) that you may be subscribing to without even realizing it

  • How to reframe the primary rule you’re following and live a life according to your values and what makes life worth living

  • Why make self care a ritual and not a routine and how to do it

  • How to create a better decision making progress instead of using hindsight, resulting, and pros and cons list

  • The importance of having a pre mortumn and post mortumn for decisions, projects, and goals

  • Why celebrate when you’ve crossed the finish line of a project.

  • How creating a plan is an act of self love and self compassion.
