226: You at Your Best

If you’re feeling blah, science shows that one of the fastest ways to turn that frown upside down is to take eight minutes and replay your happiest day in your mind.

On today’s short run episode, I share how to recall your happiest day and to keep on recalling it for three straight days.

The Runner of the Week, Kristen Truempy from the Positive Psychology Podcast, shares the following:

  • What her running routine currently looks like

  • How dedicated she is to the science of helping people live happier lives

  • What funny thing she would do if it meant she were able to help someone

  • How ultra running is wildly popular with the demographic that could be going through a midlife crisis

There’s just eight days left after this episode goes live to register for the Fall 2018 Online Flourishing Skills group. Join fellow runners to learn and practice key skills to reduce stress and increase well-being. And the best news is that you can learn with others from the comfort of your own home!

The next group starts on Thursday, October 4, 2018 and runs (pun intended) for a total of ten sessions over eleven weeks. (We don’t meet on Thanksgiving.) Registration is now open and closes on Friday, September 28, 2018. Space is limited. Please email me at kari@therunninglifestyle.com for more information.
